As a consequence of the abovementioned activities in SL by formal or non-formal education institutes and people, a number of educational resources have been gathered within SL, providing sources of free knowledge both to educators and learners. At the same time, SL provides a place for authentic inquiry [24] and may also cause spontaneous formation of social networks, supplying the educators and learners with a range of tools and the motivation to keep on their 3D virtual science and technology investigation.
