5. Conclusion
This paper proposes a method of enhancing the recovery of oil
that would otherwise stay trapped in the matrix blocks of a
naturally fractured reservoir. This method increases the recovery
of oil from a fractured reservoir by the steps of injecting the
membrane-forming fluid into the reservoir to form a semipermeable membrane over the surface of at least part of the exposed formation matrix, injecting into the reservoir a fluid of low
solute concentration to establish a chemical potential gradient
across the membrane and letting the fluid enter the formation
across the membrane to increase the pressure inside the formation
and to force additional oil to be extracted from the formation
