We tried
to address concerns of ecological and face validity of our new scale by
considering the user-friendliness of the scale in terms of its length, complexity
and content. Preferences are relevant not just to individuals in
the class room, but any individual using a variety of media, including
employees (and as our samples showed, many diverse learners groups
may include students that are also employees). There is considerable
value of continuing to develop the learning style research and expand
the horizon to include non-educational populations and settings.
