(1) Local people in Loei fully understand the consequences of mining and are aware for demanding the control over their own community’s destinies. They gain the skills and strategies needed to counteract with the goldmine expansion in their area. The locals gain knowledge about their rights regarding the mine which they are able to express through information-graphics to reach wider audiences. The community is also stronger not only by the strategic movements but also the information network they build with other mining-affected communities.
