We stayed at the Lodge to celebrate our wedding anniversary. When we called to book the room, we were told that only one room was available -a suite, for $50 extra a night. After checking in we saw they had several other rooms available! I was disappointed that the towels in our bathroom were worn to the point of strings hanging from them! When spending $200 a night, the linens should be better than this. We also didn't care for the fact that the housekeeping staff stood outside our room at 8 am Sunday morning, yelling back and forth to each other on what rooms were open to clean, etc. So much for sleeping in. The front desk staff was very unprofessional. No one else was ahead of me in line to check in, but it still was a 25 minute ordeal. Every time the phone rang, she would stop to answer it and I would wait while she went thru pricing and availability with callers. Never mind that a paying customer was standing in front of her! Her sloppy tee shirt and face piercings were unattractive. The only thing this place has going for it is the beautiful location and surroundings. It's a shame.
