Successive aqueous extract of Chlorophytum borivilianum
exhibited moderate ROCK-II inhibition in addition to its claim as
an aphrodisiac in rat wherein androgen synthesis, due to steroidal
saponin content of extract, was proposed to be its mechanism
(Thakur et al., 2009). Dual mechanism i.e., androgen synthesis and
ROCK-II inhibition of Chlorophytum borivilianum indicates its
usefulness as Vajikarana herb.
