one of the primary reasons why electrical method are so widely used in scientific instrumentation is that very weak electrical signals can be amplified to the point where they can directly activate indicating or recording devices and be thereby measured. The electronic amplifier is the component of electrical systems that provides the necessary power to the signals to make such measurements feasible. The purpose of this chapter is to describe the those amplifiers that are most commonly used in electrical measuring instruments.
