but less in fields with high soil moisture. Profusely branching varieties appeared to be less affected by CMD. Occurrence of root rots was positively correlated to increasing humidity of ecozones and to fields with mixed cropping and mixtures of varieties compared to monocropping and one variety, respectively while root rots were less severe on highly branching varieties. BlLS appeared to be less frequent on moist soils, and to occur more frequently on profusely branching varieties. To further exploit the data and support the above interpretation a canonical correlation analysis was conducted.
