Well Preparations.
5.1. Well Status.
These items should be checked and confirmed prior to testing the well to ensure the most up
to date data is available.
• Completion Schematic
• Well documents required.
• Last Well maintenance report.
5.2. General Preparations.
Note: It is extremely important to monitor ALL well pressures during all activities including but
not limited to:- All Annuli,, DHSV control line pressures and wellhead pressure.
• Ensure Platform/Asset is aware of the work program and wells to be tested.
• Ensure that signed work permit is available at work site.
• Ensure No Hot work permits are in force on platform before or during valve
testing / greasing or top cap leak testing.
• JSA performed before all operations.
5.3. Equipment required.
Note: - all equipment shall have current certification with regards to test and working
pressures. All gauges shall be required to be calibrated every 6 months.
Hookup shall be according to appendices below
• Air driven Grease Pump /Skid. With fitting and hoses.
• Triplex Pump as required.
• Haskell Pump if no triplex available.
• Control line fluid, inspected and tested to NACE 6 or better.
• Testing manifold.
• Barton Chart recorder. With 4 Hour clock.
• Electronic Chart recorder
• Pressure gauges. ( 0-10barg 0-60barg- 0-160barg etc)
• Digital gauges if available
• Dead weight tester.
• Pipe work to hook up neighboring well for Pressure equalizing pr pressure
testing.
• Leak observation kit – soapy water or snoopy
