CONTEXT
One of the most important decisions I have had to make was to choose the right university for my degree course. Over 100 universities offer my degree subject (business) so it demanded careful thought.
ACTION
I first printed off a list of all the universities offering business-related degrees. Next I decided my main criteria: I wanted a campus-based university in the South of England, with a good academic reputation, but not in London. This allowed me to narrow my choice down to about 15 universities quite quickly. I then ordered prospectuses for all of these and after careful reading discarded another 8 institutions, as they offered unsuitable modules or lacked flexibility. Careful research into league table positions and advice from friends and family narrowed the choice down to 4 institutions which I then visited. I was immediately drawn to Kent because of its beautiful campus and friendly atmosphere and decided to make this my first choice.
RESULT
I'm now in my final year heading for a good degree, and have enjoyed almost every minute of my time here.
