As a learner on one of Dudley College’s Animal Science courses, you will
learn about what is needed to ensure the health and welfare of domestic,
farm and even exotic animals. You will study the principles of animal biology
and explore what constitutes a clean and friendly environment in which
animals can thrive.
While our courses are primarily classroom-based, we are delighted to be working in
partnership with Brockswood Animal Sanctuary in Sedgley, which offers a home to all kinds
of sick, injured or abandoned creatures – whether they are cute and cuddly or creepy and
crawly. You will also have the chance to undertake work experience at Dudley Zoo.
Our academic courses are ideal if you want to progress to Higher Education or pursue a
career in an animal-related area such as veterinary nursing, wildlife management and zoos,
animal welfare organisations or animal health welfare.
