The strongest root colonizing isolate was selected for the
study on its effects on nutrient levels and plant growth. In
addition, a non-phosphate-solubilizing, non-rhizosphere-
competent NSA isolate was also included. This organism
was chosen as a comparison because it is taxonomically
related to the phosphate-solubilizing, rhizosphere-competent
NSA isolate and also because it originated from the same soil.
