Appreciating impending death
In chronic critically ill patients, usually the families perceive that
patients are dying because the physicians and nurses have
informed them so many times. The participants would describe
to the families that their relative is now showing poor and
unstable signs and symptoms and may require full treatment
again. In an emergency situation with a critically ill patient, one
participant thought that the patient might not know what would
happen to him and the participant might tell these dying patients
about the present place (the hospital), the full health resuscitation
process and their imminent death.
