2.3. Measurements and sampling
The colostrumsamples were collected from the mammary glands of each sow after parturition and immediately frozen at−20 °C for chemical analysis. The body weight was recorded at the weaningandfinishing stages. The blood and longissimus thoracis (LT) mus-cles (without visible fat and connective tissues) were obtained from the left half of the carcass at weaning and finishing stages, snap-frozen in liquid nitrogen and stored at−80 °C until further analysis.
