In lumber, particleboard, and MDF,
which have higher glucomannan content, the concentration of
mannose was higher than that of xylose. On the other hand, plywood
contained a high level of xylan, which revealed a high xylose
content. As MDF is a wood product made from wood fibers broken
down from hardwood and softwood residuals, milled MDF has a
lower density than the other waste woods.
