8.3 Third Conditional
We use the third conditional to talk about the past. These are always hypothetical things because we cannot change the past.
- If I had listened to you, I would have paid less.
- If we had booked our plane tickets earlier, we could have found the dates we really wanted.
If + Past perfect, would/could/might + have + past participle.
- If she hadn't been so sick, she might have enjoyed the vacation.
