Formulations containing vegetable oils, when compared to aqueous formulations, have been reported to increase fungal infection in a variety of hosts, including ticks (Kaaya and Hassan 2000; Polar et al. 2005), tobacco whitefly, Bemisia tabaci (Batta 2003), and desert locust, Schistocerca gregaria, specially in low humidity climates (Bateman et al. 1993).
