2.2. Numerical model for two-equation model
A two-equation non-equilibrium heat transfer model is employed
as the energy equations for the metal foams, since there exists a large difference in the thermal conductivities of the fluid
and metal ligament. Governing equations are established for fluid
and solid matrix, each containing interactive terms to indicate
the interfacial heat transfer effects. The interface wall is contained
in the computational domain if the coupling effect of fluids is considered.
As such, the traditional two-equation model is modified to
adapt to the coupling interface solid domain.
