Points1 to 10 define about 400 n.m. of boundary which coincides exactly with the seabed line agreed between the two countries in 1971. The central portion between Points 10 and 39 measures about 550 n.m. This equidistant line generated specifically for this understanding in fairly closely marked by 30 points. The final section between Points 39 and 44 measures about 350 n.m. This agreed line which divided the disputed zone is marked by only 6 points and three of them define the arcs of 12 n.m. about Ashmore and Cartier islands.
