The 3rd caste temple of the King is famous for the Luang Pho Tho, a 32 metre hight Buddha-statue standing in the middle of the temple. What tourists especially love doing is comparing the size of the statue´s feet with their own. So we can certainly confirm: Luang Pho Tho lived on very huge feet.
The Wat Intharawihan was created in the time of Ayutthaya just like the Wat Chana Songkhran. Its original name Wat Rai Phrik developed from the vegetable gardens, which were set on the eastern side of the Rama VIII Bridge.
