Thai Airways International Public Co., Ltd. (THAI), as an aircraft operator of flights within Thailand
and internationally, is responsible for:
• Obtaining an Air Operator Certificate from the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand to
conduct commercial air transport operations
• Registering every THAI aircraft with the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand prior to
operation of the aircraft
• Conducting safe, regular, and efficient aircraft operations and maintenance
• Conducting aviation personnel training for employees, as required
• Developing operating instructions necessary for the safety of an operation
• Ensuring that all THAI Operational Departments have internal, documented procedures in
place in compliance with specific CAA requirements for each State to which THAI flights
operate
• Ensuring operational compliance with the laws or regulations of Thailand and any other
State to which THAI aircraft operate
• Ensuring that each Operational Department maintains a reliable system for disseminating
relevant information to personnel concerned and maintaining files about regulations,
information bulletins, requirements, letters, and directives issued by aviation authorities.
Such files should also include any communication between THAI and authorities
• Advising the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand and/or other relevant authorities with
safety oversight authority of any findings, occurrences, incidents, or accidents in the State
of Occurrence which would require attention and from them for correction /prevention
3.3.1.5 Guideline
I. In accordance with ICAO obligations to ensure safe operations, THAI shall comply with all Civil
Aviation Authority of Thailand and other relevant aviation authorities’ requirements including,
but not limited to:
a) Aircraft Registration and Airworthiness
b) Personnel Licensing
c) Air Operator Certification
