A major and ironic consequence of loosing weight too quickly can be displayed through an excessive weight gain right after going through the process of losing weight rapidly. This statement could be confusing at first: How could someone possibly gain more weight after doing everything to lose weight quickly? Well, many factors are responsible for that abnormal weight gain. These includes both psychological and physiological changes that affect the person’s mindset, which ultimately leads them to pick up bad habits. These habits include eating potentially more than the person used to eat before to compensate for the void that the weight loss left in their body and mind. She explains that the unnatural feeling after loosing so much weight forces the people to eat more due to emotional cravings which immediately makes the weight come back even more than it was before. (Carpenter, 2013). Overall, an unnatural and fast loss of weight will almost certainly always be followed by some consequences that will put the person’s life in danger. This includes higher risks of diabetes and an unbalanced metabolism that ends up with an increase in body weight for the affected person.
