In our experiment, skin color (L*, C* and h) changes were
significantly delayed in pomegranates stored under MAPs conditions,
with generally lower changes in pomegranates packaged
with MAP1 and MAP2 than control fruit. Decreases of L*, C* and
increases of h values were significantly affected by increased fruit
weight loss and were probably related to the high relative
humidity within the packages. A decrease in skin redness during
regular air storage has been previously reported by several authors
working with different pomegranate cultivars
