Koh kret Island probably known for it’s earthenware pottery more than anything else. Much of the eastern riverside is taken up by a pottery village, complete with brick kilns, for instance which is apparently a 'turtle-back', kiln has not been used since 1997. There are many villages producing potteries, They are made by hand and follow the old traditional Mon style. Visitors can walk along small road through the villages and visit many houses where they also show how to make potteries.
