Contrary to biomass yield, essential oil content in general,
was lower in first harvest and increased gradually in subsequent
harvests to reach maximum in fourth harvest. In general,
higher essential oil content was associated with lower
biomass yield. The variation in biomass yield in different
harvests was due to seasonal variation. June–September being
rainy season, the weather conditions were more favorable
for crop growth and thus resulted in highest biomass
yield in the first harvest. Harvesting of secondary branches
