The Working Group has (also) decided to request the respective governments for... validity of the stickers for 5 years in place of one, no restrictions on the number of cities that can be visited (from the current limit of three cities) and duration of stay at 30 days," it said.
The regional grouping had introduced the visa exemption scheme in 1992.
On the issue of non-tariff barriers, the group said that there is a need to identify barriers that actually exist and "not that are perceived to be".
The group further said trade in services and investments in the energy sector are some of the areas where the members should cooperate.
The Working Group brought together 10 core members, including key representatives of national chambers of commerce and industry in south Asia and the ADB.
The 16th SAARC Summit will take place in Bhutan on April 28-29 and will be attended attended by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
The SAARC member nations include Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
