V. CONCLUSION This study explored the possible effects of listening strategy use on listening ability. To this end. the relationship between listening strategies and the TOEIC Lc was investigated with college students learning English in Korea. Several important findings were made. One of the major findings was the significant relationship between listening strategies and the TOEIC LC. and the fact that this relationship was linear. Another important finding was that regardless of the significant correlations between integrative motivation and the ToEIC L/C and between interest. and the TOEIC L/C only listening strategies among the predictor variables could uniquely predict the TOEIC LVC. accounting for 24 percent of the variation in the TOEIC LVC Regardless of these findings and implications of this study. however, one should be cautious in making generalizations from these findings. This is because students use of listening strategies was identified through a self-report questionnaire of the SEL at one point in time in one country
