Barcelona forward Pedro Rodriguez remains on Paris Saint-Germain's radar as they look to add to their squad before the start of the 2015-16 season. The Spanish international is one of the French champion's top targets, along with Manchester United's Angel Di Maria.
FC Barcelona announced the renewal of Pedro's contract just a few weeks ago, but his name is still linked with moves away from Camp Nou. The fact that L'Equipe have suggested PSG believe they can sign him confirms that his new deal has not put interested clubs off.
Pedro has won everything as a Barça player since being promoted to the first team when Josep Guardiola was in charge. He has also been a key part of the most successful Spanish national team in history. Things are complicated now, though, following the success of the Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar front three.
It also seems unlikely he will be given minutes as a right-back, as had been rumoured, following the signing of Aleix Vidal and Dani Alves's new deal. Even Martin Montoya has left the club, moving to Inter Milan on loan.
In these circumstances, despite the fact Luis Enrique wants him to stay, a transfer cannot be ruled out if Pedro wants to guarantee regular football.
