The physical development status of the majority of the neonates was in the normal range at delivery and 6 weeks of age, as measured by weight and height.23 Moreover, no cases with growth retardation were observed during the infancy period. The average height and weight of the infants were higher than WHO standard values (2006) at 12 months of age, similar to the findings presented in a previous report on infants in Beijing.24 Furthermore, the BMI of the infants in our study increased gradually with age. These observations suggest that LdT treatment in pregnancy does not affect the physical development of infants.
