A number of materials are used in conditions of immersion.
The behavior profiles usually differ dramatically when tested
dry and in-situ. The ability to dissipate stress and the degree of
frequency dependence of a material must be monitored in
the conditions it will see in its application. The data in Figure
28 show a Fibrin Gel immersed in water and its behavior over
a wide frequency range. Without in-situ testing such as this,
product applicability cannot be determined.
