amylopectin is similar to amylose . the major different is that amylopectin is a branched polysaccharide of up to 10000 D-glucose molecules. the D-glucose unit connect with each others by 1,4-glycosidic bond to build linear core of polymer,whereas at the branch points (occurs at intervals of 20-25 unit) the monomers bonded by 1,6-glycosidic bond in addition to 1,4-glycosidic linkage.
