For the achievement of the objectives of the present study the “Experimental Research” method was used, that is concerned with ‘what will be’. (Best,1992).
A pre-test, post-test design with randomized experimental and control groups was used. Thus, the present study was executed in two phases as:
Phase – I
• Content analysis of Grade VII social science text books of I.C.S.E Board Secondary School.
• Development of lesson plans (PBL approach and Traditional approach – 10 each).
