In Asia, spot propylene prices edged up by $5-15/ton on the week to be reported at $585-590/ton FOB South Korea and $630-635/ton CFR China as of the end of last week. Regional tightness continued to support the propylene market, players reported.
In Europe, spot propylene prices retreated further by €30-35/ton to be reported at €550-555/ton FD NWE as of the end of last week. The year-end sluggishness and retreating naphtha weighed down on the market, according to players.
In the US, offers for polymer grade propylene were stable at 29.5 cents/lb ($650/ton) FD USG. The activity was rather thin due to year-end slowness.
