The Colombian Coffee process
FARM
1 Planting
- The best seeds are selected for planting
2 Flowering
- The flowering process in the coffee plant takes 4 to 6 months
3 Ripening
- Beans ripen in 6 to 8 months
>> Harvest
- Consists of picking by hand only the beans that are ripe
WET PROCESSING
1 De - pulping
- In the process the pulp is mechanically separated from the coffee bean
2 Fermentation and washing
- Beans are left to ferment and later washed
3 Drying
- The beans are spread out in the sun to remove moisture which converts them into parchment coffee
