One Web 2.0 technology that may integrate the role of higher education
institutions as knowledge providers with the evolving learning styles of Net Gen
students is weblogs commonly referred to as blogs. Blogs are a global means of
“flattening the world” and are easy to use and relatively inexpensive (Lovinget al.,
2007). Blogging provides Net Gen students with the capability for interacting in a
public venue to share thoughts, ideas, interpretations, hopes, and fears with others
(Brescia and Miller, 2006).
