Shielded Metal Arc Welding: Shielded metal arc or stick electrode
welding is the most traditionally used welding method. High-quality
welds on a variety of metals and thicknesses can be made rapidly
with excellent uniformity.
This method uses a flux-covered metal electrode to carry an
electrical current forming an arc that melts the work and the

melting base material forming the weld.
