Interventions to promote health on group level with a focus on changes in work and life style has been shown to be effective in reducing musculoskeletal disorders [9–11] and increasing self-efficacy and work ability [2, 12, 13]. The demand-control-social support model also indicates that these relations are important for good health [14]. The individual physical capacity in relation to the physical demands in working life has shown to be of great importance for staying healthy [15].
