The site, P15 Ravel, located on Beethoven Street was unique, as Klaas de Boer, director of Zuidas, Amsterdam City Council, noted. The bold architectural design of the project “marks a crucial turning point in the development of Zuidas into a mixed area with housing, employment and services”, he mentions. “This plan effectively increases the attractiveness of Zuidas”, he concluded.
The competition for the P15 Ravel site began in spring 2015. After the design for the Ravel Plaza was selected, an agreement between Amsterdam City Council and OVG Real Estate was signed on Oct. 8.
