As soon as you sell an item in-app through the Classic Depop Payment, the money will appear in your PayPal account.
There are certain cases where you may not see the money in your account instantly:
1. The payment is sitting unclaimed in your PayPal account. This happens for example when the money is sent to an email address that you haven't added to your PayPal account yet, or if you need to verify your account. Get in touch with PayPal to know more.
2. The payment hasn't cleared yet. This happens when your money is sent as an eCheque. A payment is sent as an eCheque if the buyer's PayPal balance is not enough to cover the payment and they don’t have a card and a bank linked to their account. eCheques take longer to clear than direct PayPal payments, so you should allow about 7-10 days for this. To know more about eCheques, you can contact PayPal.
3. The buyer has cancelled the payment through their PayPal account right after completing the transaction on Depop.
Get in touch with the buyer to find out if they paid via eCheque or if they cancelled the payment.
This information will also be visible in your PayPal account. If you still can't find the payment, we recommend you contact PayPal to make sure the transaction is completed before sending off your item. Shipping your item before the funds are clear will void your Seller Protection.
If the transaction was a Depop Wallet one, please get in touch with us at wallet@depop.com to enquire about it.
