Jiangxigou-2 site (JXG2) (36º3502500N,100º1704700E, 3312 a.s.l) can
be dated back to 14,690 ± 150 Cal a BP (Madsen et al., 2006). It is
located at the junction between the plain on the south shore of
Qinghai Lake and the colluvial fans of the Qinghai Nanshan
Mountains. Jiangxigou-2 is an artifact-rich, multicomponent
midden site with the main period of occupation in 9000e5000 cal a
BP. It appears to be connected to early Neolithic agricultural settlements
along the upper Yellow River drainage during the middle

Pleistocene Upper Paleolithic foraging to Holocene Neolithic
farming in the northern QTP
