Crustaceans are the main food of the benthivorous fishes from Anchieta Island and are known as a major prey for benthivorous fishes from coastal southern (Haimovici et al., 1989) and northern Brazil (Teixeira & Helmer, 1997), as well as in South Africa (Booth & Buxton, 1997).
