In this study, natural rubber only act as a plasticizer for PVC electrospunfiber. Hence, the concentration of
natural rubber was 30 wt%. Composite will formed if the concentration of natural rubber exceeding 30 wt%.
Continuous PVC/natural rubber fibers were successfully electrospun from the PVC/ natural rubber/THF solutions in
the concentration of 16 wt%. For the lower concentration of PVC/natural rubber solution of 16%, no continuous
fibers but liquid sprays, beads and some short fibers would be obtained. For the higher concentration of PVC/
natural rubber solution of 16 wt%, the fiber cannot be formed. In addition, the sample solution hardens outside the
tip of the needle after the solvent evaporate. As a result, fiber cannot be formed on the collector although high
electric voltage had been applied on the sample solution. Hence, the spinnable concentration of PVC/ natural rubber
is 16 wt%.
