The present work reports the results of our investigation on the
dielectric properties of the [N(CH3)4]2CoCl2Br2 compound. The variation
of e0
r and e00
r versus temperature at different frequencies
shows a ferroelectric–paraelectric phase transition at 290 K of
the second order type. The frequency dependence permittivity is
interpreted in the non-Debye model. rdc is analyzed by the Arrhenius
equation: rdc T = r0 exp(Ea/kT). The activation energy Ea
jumps from 0.31 eV in the ferroelectric phase to 0.13 eV in the
paraelectric phase.
