Many people have greatly reduced vision, even though they are not completely blind. Some scientists are trying to assist bad retina with technology. They implant tiny electrical chips into a(n) damaged eye. One woman, Barbara Campbell, who suffers eye disease, has tiny electrodes inside her eyesight. They basically work by electrically activating neural cells in the eye. Our eyesight works due to the retina which collects light using 120 million tiny cells. However, the technology that allows people to improve their vision is not perfect. Seeing different colors is also impossible.
