A BRIDGE BETWEEN SELF-ORGANIZING NETWORKS AND GRAMMAR SYSTEMS THEORY.
The aim of this paper is to demonstrate how formal language theoretic models can be
used to describe self-organizing networks. In particular, we deal with peer-to-peer networks,
Internet crawlers seeking novel information on the World Wide Web and network
cluster formation. We summarize the results obtained in the past few years and propose
some further research directions.
