Mink Diet:
Farmed mink are fed a variety of different types of food depending on the time of year. They are carnivores so they eat mostly: fish, chicken, cows liver, eggs, but also have a mixture of a cereal. The percentage of these foods vary throughout the year depending upon the cycle the mink is in. These foods are ground up and mixed together to form food that is placed each day on the top of the mink cage for the mink to eat. The mink eat their food slowly throughout the day and run out of food by the next morning. The average mink eats about 225 grams of food per day (large males eat more than small females)
