PSYCHOLOGICAL - studies showed that hyperthymestics have a strong tendency to have obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and that it may have some psychological etiology.
BIOLOGICAL - an MRI study of AJ showed enlargement of temporal lobe and caudate nucleus, which are the parts of the brain mainly responsible for memory building and storage.
