For the base-catalyzedmethod, approximately 0.60 g NaOH was dissolved in 25 mL methanol. Next, 100 mL of corn oil was heated toapproximately 55 °C, and the basic methanolic solution was added in one portion with magnetic stirring. The mixture was stirred for 1 h at 55 °C, transferred into a separatory funnel, and allowed to cool and separate into biodiesel and glycerol layers overnight.
