3.2. Fatty acids, vitamin C and tocopherols in the studied population
Thirty-eight fatty acids, from C8:0 to C22:6 n3 (DHA), were identified and quantified in the untreated and treated samples. In agreement with other studies (Yuhas, Pramuk, & Lien, 2006), some fatty acids showed considerable sample-to-sample variation (indi- cated by large standard deviations with respect to their means) (Table 1).
