Koh Mook is a large island comparing with nearby islands but little smaller than Koh Libong. It is well known as the owner of Morakot Cave. Koh Muk is virtually more interesting for its beautiful beaches of fertile natural surroundings. It is the island of ancient communities mostly Muslim. Villagers normally use long-tailed boats to travel between the island and Kuan Tung Ku Pier taking only about 15 minutes.
Most tourists prefer to use the package tour service which includes the tour program of other nearby islands.

Morakot Cave, one of the fantastic attractions of the Unseen in Thailand is located at the west of Koh Mook. The exciting journey to Morakot Cave besides seeing the marvelous nature creation is the way to reach the cave by swimming one by one into the entrance of the cave with the width of not more than 10m and little area above the sea level. This can allow only a small boat to pass through during low tide along the channel of 80 m long. After passing the entrance to the other side, you will stand at the large hall roofed by the sky looking like standing inside the very large funnel. The sand beach will be seen in the middle of the hall surrounded by high cliffs. Some species of plant are found either on the beach or tat the cliff such as Caladium, spurge (Euphorbia ant quorum) etc. The sunlight during midday will be straight through the mouth of the funnel. The reflection of the sea creates the emerald color as the name 'Morakot Cave' which means "Emerald Cave".
Mostly are package tours including the journey to Morakot Cave, dive at Koh Chuak, Koh Ma and Koh Waen. All facilities which are buoy, rope and flashlight will be provided by the tour operators. You can also rent the boat from Koh Mook to Morakot Cave. There are three or four resorts at Koh Mook as well as restaurants, shops and motorcycles for renting.
Personally, I would reccommended 'Koh Mook Charlie Beach Resort' for Bamboo Chalet worth of money for your long stay.
